Stage Lighting Design - The Life The Craft The Art. by Richard Pilbrow. New Edition in 1997. Wonderful and inspiring from one of the nicest and most experienced designers out there. Coffee Table, Text Book, Sort ones direction out sorta book. Mid Atlantic.

A Practical Guide to Stage Lighting by Steven Louis Shelly. A new book to me but the first to cover the process including the paperwork in detail, cuing, focusing for straight theatre. Larger than life character really likes helping out students. Great. Advanced text book, US.

Designing with Light by Michael Gillette. Mid range text book, bit advanced for beginners. US.

Create Your Own Stage Lighting by Tim Streader and John A Williams. Mid range text book. UK.

Stage Lighting Revealed by Glen Cunningham. Beginners text book, US.

The Stage Lighting Handbook by Francis Reid. Beginners text book - updated, UK.

Stage Lighting Design, A Practical Guide by Neil Fraser. Good Teaching tool, UK.

Joseph Svoboda - Scenographer, Ed Giorgio Ursini Ursic. Inspiring text and pictures of the great mans designs.

The development of the English Playhouse AND Theatre and Playhouse both by Richard Leacroft. Bit dated but great line drawings of theatres if one is interested in theatre architecture.
