Peace and Peace Studies. The element I took most strongly from my Quakers (US) upbringing was the Justice and Peace Testamony. My previous web site had many links to relevant web sites but this was quickly outdated. I still firmly believe that it is the most important set of issues today, there are just as many wars going on today and disarmament is not the issue it should be.
I studied at Bradford University for my BA in Peace Studies and then taught Peace and Conflict Studies at Atlantic College.
The syllabus that I taught can be found here and an example of an exam paper here - the classes were some of the most stimulating and interesting I could ask for and I thank all those students who took Peace Studies at AC from 1989 to 1997. I believe the syllabus may be changing in the next couple of years. Please address any questions to either the IB or Atlantic College.
